Upgraded to a 790i FTW Digital board after my 780i started dying :( , and looking for the best memory to go with it. The obvious choice 996601! Hoping to get at least 1800MHz out of the set so I can keep my Q9650 @ 4.05GHz. I have never gotten a bad stick of memory, and I'm glad they take the time before/after selling products to make sure that the customer is satisfied. There are so many products out there that good support DOES make a difference. I will never choose or recommend any other memory.

Experience: On my 780i (fail)board I was using a set of 996599 modules until it decided to go instant FF  I ran them anywhere between 667 on up to 1066 without a problem. Able to use them on a Gigabyte UD3R, UD3P and an ASUS P5Q Deluxe board as well. Before that I had a 996535 2x1GB set of the 5-5-4-12 DDR2-1066 Mem that ran flawlessly. Have a set of 996533 in my backup 680i board that run at their rated speeds and voltage. Sold both sets of the 1066 Mem to friends who now love Mushkin Memory too :D

Mushkin memory rocks! I have 8GB of 996599 (4x2GB) DDR 1066 running rock solid at DDR 1146 on Asus P5Q-E! Very tight timings: 5-5-5-15-3-52-6-3, 8-3-5-4-6-4-7, 14-5-1-6-6, static read enabled, memory voltage very low: 1.94V! CPU Q9650 at 3.87 G( 9x 430), CPU termination: 1.30v, north bridge:1.20v. I am extremely happy and proud of my mushin XP2 DDR1066 memories. I give Mushkin a 5 out of 5 stars! Mushin has earned another lifetime customer!

Several reasons.

1. The support team is superlative. Every question I have asked has been answered promptly and completely, no matter how stupid. The support team talks like they are knowledgeable as to what works and what doesn't.

2. I have had 3 sets of Mushkin memory thus far and zero problems. Why would I use anything else.

3. The prices are very reasonable and the customer service in getting the product to me promptly is good. What more could I want.

4. Mushkin builds a product that works and backs the product up with the best service. That is an unbeatable combination. I like to put my money into a product that I can trust backed up by people who care and who I can believe in, even if it is not the cheapest. In the long run it really is and the higher price over the junk memory is so little why would I buy the junk.

I've always bought Mushkin memory. Great quality, great price and awesome support. I have 4x1Gb DDR2 in my Core 2 rig and I just picked up 3x2Gb XP3-128000 for my new Core i7 rig.

Thanks Mushkin for making such kick a$$ memory!
